He has played iconic roles in film and on television, such as Sjöwall & Wahlöö’s Gunvald Larsson, Beorn in Peter Jackon’s The Hobbit, and most recently Kjartan in Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur.
Carl-Johan Vallgren is an award-winning author and musician. His books have been translated into 25 languages, and his smash hit The Horrific Sufferings of the Mind-Reading Monster Hercules Barefoot was awarded the 2002 August Prize.
