Niklas Rådström (b. 1953) is one of Sweden’s most celebrated and versatile authors. Ever since his debut with Poems Close to Silence in 1975 he has become a name as a most prolific poet, novelist and playwright.
He has published a variety of poetry collections, essays and novels as well as written for the stage and screen. He was awarded the August Prize in 1994 for the novel Time has its Mind Elsewhere and, among many other awards, he was in 2019 given the prestigious Övralidspriset for “his ability to travel in all directions of literature”. Niklas Rådström is a member of Samfundet De Nio (The Nine Society).
